Part of a larger video series detailing the US Army Reserve Employer Partnership program, I was tasked with designing a set of slates to transition between the different sections. Having about a day to put the slates together, I drew some digital camo in Illustrator and broke them out in 2.5D in After Effects using Red Giant Software’s PlaneSpace plugin. What a timesaver! I added a 3D light with some soft shadows for added illusion of depth.
