A collection of graphics designed for the educational and web documentary “Henry A. Wallace: An Uncommon Man”. Much of the documentary includes archival and still images from the 1930′s and 40′s, so my goal was give the graphics a modern look while maintaining hints Wallace’s career, such as some famous photos of floodlights hitting him while speaking on stage at a political convention, and the hand-crafted nature of the period. A simple woodgrain texture and Trapcode Lux helped me achieve an elegant and distinguished look. This montage includes a segment open, 2 treatments for visualizing Wallace’s writings, A “camera pass” treatment for still photos, and a segment close.
